Mr. Patrick Valtin is a longstanding, active member of the Church of Scientology. Founded by world acclaimed author and humanitarian, L. Ron Hubbard, the churches of Scientology and their members strongly support social betterments – in the neighborhood as well as over the world.
Many social programs such as drug rehabilitation, study technology, support of human rights, safeguard of the environment are contained in L. Ron Hubbard’s works and are being used by government organizations, charitable associations or gung-ho groups in more than 100 countries.
Patrick Valtin is also a volunteer minister. Scientology volunteer ministers have been called to places where urgent and caring attention was required, to cope with all kinds of natural disasters. Over 1.6 million people were helped, just last year, thanks to the help of Volunteer Minister Cavalcades.
Patrick Valtin is also a strong supporter of “The Way to Happiness” campaign. The Way to Happiness is the first moral code based wholly on common sense. First published in 1981, its purpose is to arrest the current moral decline in society and restore integrity and trust to Man.

Why am I a Scientologist?
In an open letter posted on http://www.patrickvaltinforscientology.org/, Patrick Valtin comments about his affiliation to the Church of Scientology since 1986. Travelling around the world and meeting thousands of people every year in his seminars and lectures, Patrick is regularly asked interesting questions on Scientology which he decided to formally answer in this letter.

What is so special about Dianetics & Scientology and why the mass media work so hard at giving it great publicity -by Patrick Valtin, October 31, 2009.
I am asked about Scientology almost daily – about its principles and beliefs, or about the media publicity related to its activities. The purpose of this open letter is to explain to my friends, customers or the public at large, why I am part of the fastest growing religion in the world.
Scientology is indeed a worldwide religious movement with more than 8,000 Churches, Missions and groups in 165 countries. The Church and its members dedicate their time and resources to numerous humanitarian programs that Scientology has become known for around the world, including combating drug abuse, immorality, illiteracy and human rights violations.
How I discovered Scientology
It started with the book “Dianetics - the Modern Science of Mental Health“. I discovered the book at a time when I was looking to help a very close friend who was not doing well at all. He had lost his brother in a fire accident. A former European champion in karate and a popular martial arts teacher with over 200 students, my friend became extremely affected by this incident to the point that he lost interest in life and was going downhill – very rapidly. He had started to drink and he was losing a lot of students in his dojo.
Dianetics is a spiritual healing technology which can help alleviate such ailments as unwanted sensations and emotions, irrational fears and psychosomatic illnesses (illness caused or aggravated by mental stress). The word Dianetics comes from the Greek words dia, meaning through and nous, soul.
The definition of Dianetics is what the soul is doing to the body through the mind.
Dianetics uncovers the source of unwanted sensations and emotions, accidents, injuries and psychosomatic illnesses, and sets forth effective handlings for these conditions.
To make a long story short, I studied the content of this book and applied its principles to my friend. After less than 12 hours of auditing (auditing means: the application of the Dianetics or Scientology procedures by a trained person called the auditor), my friend was released from all his emotional pain on the subject of his brother’s death. He stopped drinking right away and found a new way to succeed in life.
What is absolutely unique about Dianetics is that its founder, L. Ron Hubbard, created a simple but most effective way to help people get rid of their unwanted mental or emotional conditions. In fact, everybody can quickly learn the technology of Dianetics in order to help some friend or relative.
As far as I am concerned, I literally save my friend’s life – as he attested after this experience. Imagine, being able to help others, to really allow them to stop being affected by emotional stress – whatever the source of it! And it takes only to read and learn the principles of Dianetics in a book.
What did Dianetics do for me?
Dianetics can help you understand your mind, what it is composed of and how it works. Different people experience different benefits from Dianetics technology. Some of the benefits Dianetics users report include:

Dianetics truly opens the door to unleashing your power and exert a better control over your thoughts and emotions – what a wonderful asset for people who have to make important decision on a daily basis.
Dianetics has given me more knowledge about the mind than any philosophy or psychologist theory was ever able to. And all of this knowledge is available from a book!
